Applying for School Card
If you’re a low-income family with children attending government schools, you can get financial help with school fees, materials and services charges, through the School Card scheme. School Card must be applied for each year as the assessment process is based on your family’s gross income for the prior financial year. We recommend that you lodge your application with the school early each year. This will allow you to establish a payment plan with the school early in the year if your School Card application is not approved.
Forms to apply for School Card are available from the Finance Office or the Department for Education website.
Stationery lists for all year levels can be downloaded
The order forms list items selected by Adelaide High School as being required for subjects in the various year levels.
Orders can be placed online with Lighthouse Books - www.lighthousebooks.com.au.
Friends of Rowers
This group is a small but passionate parent group supporting rowing students at Adelaide High School. We support the rowers by meeting regularly to assist in organising events and fundraising, including the season opening event at the school's boatshed, Head of the River breakfast, Head of the River Regatta and the end of season presentation, just to name a few. The group works closely with the Rowing Manager to support them as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for all planned events during the rowing season.
Greek Parent's Association
The Greek Parents Association meet on the first Monday of every month. Working in partnership with staff and students, they raise the profile of the Greek language and culture by hosting fundraising events such as the Greek Dance and Quiz Night. Their contribution to our Adelaide High School community is integral as they celebrate diversity and help create positive connections with communities here and abroad. All are welcome to attend.
Friends of Performing Arts
Performing Arts at Adelaide High School is continually growing and evolving. With over 20 performances a year, our students and staff work collaboratively with passionate parents to co-ordinate and support the various Performing Arts events. The group are involved in assisting with fundraising, building and creating sets and costumes for the Musical and other Dance/Drama performances, and being a friendly face front-of-house for our performances. The group works closely with the Leader of Arts and Innovation as well as other Arts staff to ensure the Performing Arts program at Adelaide High is a positive and welcoming environment for all.
